Dechoker LLC was founded in 2011 to produce a medical device capable of dealing with one of the most fatal situations a person can encounter: choking.
Our mission is to provide quality products that save lives. We strive to be in every home, school, hospital, restaurant as well as placed in every ambulance, fire truck and emergency response vehicles.
In 2009, Alan Carver was attending sea school to obtain a 200-ton captain’s license when he realized there was little treatment for a choking emergency while at sea. This sparked the development of the Dechoker anti-choking device.
The company was founded in 2010 in Destin, Florida. Mr. Carver worked tirelessly on his design, along with respected medical device engineers, a team of medical advisors, and health care consultants. Through this journey, Dechoker has been through many medical studies both in the US, Canada, and Europe helping give statistical proof that the device is effective.
Today, Dechoker is fully assembled in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Our device has sold hundreds of thousands of units and has hundreds of reported life saves from using the device. Dechoker is proud to work with multiple school districts and emergency first responders. Today, Dechoker is a top company in its category on Amazon and in retail stores across the country.
